Halloween

Thinking of going to school dressed up as an M.D. for Halloween… which would be funny with my dental school scrubs.

Can I borrow anyone’s *cough* Caley *cough* stethoscope?

I’m having a hard time coming up with a good Halloween ‘08 costume. I think I’ve had a run of good ones that I need to continue. 2005: American Revolutionary (teamed up with Tommy as a Red Coat). 2006: David Beckham with the ponytail and a custom made 2002 WC jersey. 2007: Waldo. I still have the cane. What’s next? I was thinking of reprising the Beckham (short hair version) but that would be cheating.

PS Alex, you would have to go as an MD with blood spattered all over your scrubs. That would be awesome.

How about Thom Yorke? Haha, I wish I could accent my scrubs like that… but they won’t let us. :/

Ahahaha…I can’t believe you remember that I own a stethescope! Mine is packed away somewhere right now but I bought one in a kids doctor set for a costume once. You get all sorts of fun toys to go along with it too like the reflex checker thingy and a syringe and, yeah. Good stuff :)

Alright, this requires a response. Since I am working at Target in the Holiday Dept (including Halloween but not Christmas) perhaps I could be of assistance?

Nils, I love the Beckham costume idea. I went as a ref with a cleat (or boot if you prefer) in his head two years ago complete with the yellow jersey, cards, black knee high socks, the works. This year I am leaning towards being a Scottish Highlander after seeing a similar type of costume at Party City (I have to review our competitor’s ads).

Fix teeth!

I have a couple ideas I’m considering. Here they are:

Indiana Jones (dad has similar leather jacket and Indy hat)

Something involving a Russian military uniform (Dad’s got one of those too, an authentic 70’s issue!). I could use this to be Bison from the Street Fighter video games because I know my Dad also has one of those tall general hats as well.

Ghostbuster (could make the proton pack out of cardboard)

Willy Wonka (Gene Wilder version). This is my first choice, but a good bright purple overcoat and a good, tall, brown hat are hard to come by and expensive.

That’s all I got right now. Time is running out, I gotta figure it out soon!

My update on my Halloween costume: I’ve made no progress at all. Any updates from anyone else?

I helped dress a stuffed creature today in one of our sample costumes…

It can be strange working here.
