Mai Village

Mai Village

This was taken inside Mai Village, an inexpensive restaurant with amazing atmosphere. Surrounded by authenticate Vietnamese artwork, you cross over a hand-carved wooden bridge to the most comfortable restaurant I’ve been to in a while.

Voted Best Vietnamese by City Pages readers in 2006, 2005, and probably some years before that. Perfect.

That is a sweet set up! Is the food real expensive there? The decor and interior design would lead me to think so.

NO! That's what makes this place so freakin' awesome. It's in this sort of ghetto part of town, and it's this beautiful $4 million restaurant owned by this vietnamese family. All of the decor is authentic (and beautiful) and the food is priced similar to any family restaurant.

Sweet. Very sweet.

Haha. ^ That comment was left by me, but silly Alex saved his info on my computer the last time he was here…

(I want it to go towards MY comment count, by the way. I won't stand by and get screwed out of what is rightfully mine.)

lol. Sorry about that, Mykala. And yeah - this is an awesome restaurant. Furthermore, I fixed up Mykala's comment so she will not be screwed out of what is rightfully hers. Hey Mykala - be sure to check out my caption on the following image, there's a question about the fish pond waiting for you there!
