Cloud Sneezes

Yesterday, a sizeable thunderstorm passed through Saint Paul, Minnesota. The majority of the day was heavily overcast, and t-storms rolled through mid-afternoon, bringing with them a torrential downpour. Sheets of rain came down, creating clouds of water around roofs as the drops’ splashes rebounded in unison. Cars rolled through puddles up to their hubcaps, throwing up arching curves of spray three feet vertically. Lightning came down in that text-book vertical way, straight from cloud to ground, chased by the rumbling crackle of bass notes. Some reports indicated that over an inch of rain fell during the heaviest hour of the storm. No serious damage, just one of those strong summer storms you dream about when it’s frigid out. Normally, you wouldn’t think twice about the weather, the next day it would be a distant memory … unless you left your car windows wide open all day _ and completely forgot about them_.

I may or may not have come out to my car and discovered that I did that.

Four things…

1)I think it's funny that you left your windows open, but I'm glad your car is dry now.

2)Since we got our new computers at work, my IE is updated and tumbledry looks as awesome as ever.

3) The change you made to the comments page so that you don't get the comments that say "Name Bob" is wonderful. Easy to use, very effective. Nice.

4)I tried to put my blog url into the "URL" field and it was apparently not good enough for this site. Invalid. Boo.

That is all.

Sometimes I wish my subaru legacy had a pool in it.

On a related note, I am firmly against intelligent discourse.

I cannot compete with these amazing comments. you got a list of four in one of them, and some amazing subaru renovations in the next?! all i have to say, is i bet you DID leave those windows open. and yes, mykala's comment did help me….a whole lot to be honest. also, until today, when i tried to post a comment and it didnt work it was because i aws trying to put spaces between teh crazy letters and numbers in the "i'm not a spambot" part so they matched up. but just typing in the characters works fine. i suppose that is why some of themjust dont show up.

Ha! Your windows were down? Who does that? Honestly! In the rain? I mean, what kind of idiot would do that??

P.S. I may or may not have made the same mistake too

Lol guys. I appreciate your sympathy for my hypothetical accident that actually happened.

Hypothetically.

Right.

Regardless, I'd like to point out that Mykala's website @ http://lovecantakeit.blogspot.com/ should work for her URL spot. That will let her link people herself - it's a good read.

Markoe - will you have your Subaru at school for a pool?

Jordan - sorry about the spacing issue, trying to make comments as easy as possible!

Nils - are you back from Amsterdam? And, I feel your pain if you have, in fact, made a similar error.

Best, to everyone.
