tumbledry

Why Hello There

I never thought this design would actually get live. But, here we are, cruising on the newest version of tumbledry. 14.0beta. Why beta? There are still things to add, sections to open, and a lot of coding to be done. I hope to be done in one week. Here is what you can expect:

That’s it for now - not much time to write updates when I’m so busy coding! Thanks for sticking with me through this extended silence on my online home - this recode from the ground up has given me an opportunity to make some great things happen. Do note that commenting will now be enabled on all aspects of the website - so don’t hesitate to comment on my “visits” links, the quotes I plan on adding soon, and the images that are forthcoming.

You’ll just have to keep stopping by to see what’s new. Welcome aboard.

This is certainly exciting. Being as I have been seeing this design for the past 3 months, it's nice that the rest of the online world gets to share in my joy. Nice work, Mr. Micek!

I remember all those times you had mentioned the work that was needed to be done on your site, and although I found the old version more than adequate, you sure have blown the cyber/real world away. Who would have thought this much amazingness could transpire from one person/website. I didn't…but now that I have seen the light, I will probably climb Everest. I can do anything now, right!?

My goodness! I hardly know what to say about your new design, it is really that stunning. Since I have no concept of technology or coding or any of that jibberjabber I can't really say that I understand how much work it took to get it looking so wonderful but I can just imagine… Congratulations, Alex!

Well isn't this a treat? Allow me to be the 4th to informally congratulate you on the update. Although I am one to overlook interface and focus content in regards to a personal blog, you really have outdone yourself here, and the changes are great. You have continually risen the bar on blogging expectations. Keep the rest of the site coming. I patiently await the fully operational return of <TumbleDry.Org>. Now update, and update often.

Hey Alex. You already know I like the new design. Keeping it short. Keep up the good work.

Thank you all for your kind words of support! This entire site, the redesign, the comments, would not be here without you.

Am I too late to compliment the new design? Very clean, I especially like the menu with links to the comments, I've never seen anyone do that before.

Alexander Micek

Haha, no you are not too late, Richard!

Glad to hear you like the design - and if you are designing/redesigning your own site anytime soon, I would recommend against using the pull-down menus … they are mind-bogglingly difficult to get to work. :)
