I’m drinking wine and watching a 29 minute YouTube video about how to install a garage door opener. AND AM HAVING THE TIME OF MY LIFE. Adulthood is different and better than I expected. Harder. But better.
This “instructive” video details How to Shower: Women vs. Men. You see, it’s the same word/verb, but it results in two very very different activities (depending on your gender).
The Eyeshirt is the worst iPod accessory product ever made. Mykala: “How much more lame can you be?” Watch the priceless commercial.
Thank goodness, YouTube has finally added comment ratings; set the threshold to “great (+10 or more),” and bask in the pleasure of not being assaulted by the fallout from illiterate morons writing the first thing that pops into their heads.
Katy showed me this hilarious Monty Python sketch on the DVD’s I got her for Christmas. It’s called the “Silly Job Interview.” I like how the guy starts hyperventilating with “Oh dear, I don’t think I’m doing very well!”
Yes, a video entitled “Puppy vs Kitty” is exactly what you’d expect. If shown to everyone around the world, this could bring about world peace.
Over 2 million views can’t be wrong - This is called “Tony vs. Paul” and it’s stop motion with people. This technique allows amazing $0 budget effects: these guys fought in what appears to be mid-air, simply by jumping from many different locations. So, the camera could freeze them in the same position every time they jumped. If you watch it, it’ll make sense.
The theremin is played without touching it - An electronic instrument invented by a Russian scientist in the early 1900’s … it’s responsible for some creepy sound effects in movies (especially in the 50’s), but also playable as a ligitimate musical instrument.
Colbert Roasts President Bush - Supposed to be overly harsh or something - it all seemed to be simply humor, appropriate for an event of this type. I especially liked the chase scene at the end.
Also … this is old news. See Colbert interviewed on Letterman about the dinner.
Well, that was awesome - Ben Folds cover The Postal Service song “Such Great Heights.” This is nothing short of tremendous. Nils, I expect commentary from you about said video.
Put down the ducky - A Sesame Street classic - this is the extended version. And yes … it is amazing. Thanks, Katy!
Beer cannon - The best slow motion video of a beer can running through a cantelope that I have ever seen.
Gumby theme - Katy found the Gumby theme. Just how I remember it!
OK Go’s famous music video for ‘Here It Goes Again’ - Stunning choreography.
The Juggling Bus Driver - Things like this restore my faith in humanity.
Adorable rabbits - Brilliant cinematic achievement. But seriously - these rabbits are awesome.
Agitatin’ Dots - Whoever thought this up: thank you. Can’t beat deadpan corporate comedy.
