When people are grocery shopping with headphones on or when they’re totally absorbed in a text message conversation at the gym, I first thought such behavior simply annoyed me. I thought that these people’s disregard for their surroundings bothered me because it put more of what can only be described as dead weight in my path, forcing me to find a passage around inert obstacles that are unaware and unwilling to acknowledge my presence. Then I realized it wasn’t my forced reroute that troubled me but rather that first part—these folk’s lack of awareness.
Pocket book reader - This uses eInk, which can be read under sunlight very easily and doesn’t use any battery power unless the screen’s display is changed. Perfect for book reader, and the resolution is really really really high. These are the future.
Power Squid - Plug any number of bulky cords into this squid shaped thing. Genius.
Yesterday, I has the privilege of witnessing the fastest cell-phone-turn-off in the history of panicked faux-paus committing individuals. Indeed, only 3 or 4 notes (notes!) of the beginning of an annoying ring sung out until the individual responsible (a business major in the third row) instinctively flinched, silencing the sound. It was almost so short that the pause in the class was everyone checking their sub-conscious, wondering if it was just a random synapse firing that had caused them to think of what they did.
Gameboy Micro is small in the absurd - Smaller than the screen on a PSP. Holy cow. Markoe, you should get one of these!
72 inch DLP TV - Really stupid pictures. However, a 10000:1 contrast ratio alone makes this awesome. Were I old(er), I would budget for a TV similar to this (imagine what they will be like in 20 years).
iPod Stand - Having a hard time rationalizing this purchase … but it’s one of the most appealing iPod accessories I have seen in a while.
Playstation 3 on Amazon? - Very very strange. 300 dollars, too. Sounds like an underground promotion thing.
We’re gonna get it! We’re gonna go buy the CDP-CX455! I can’t believe it. Maybe Justin will help me with something I have to do. Maybe not. But we can all benefit from this thing. I’ll ask him sometime. I’ll keep ya posted.
