Essie’s third birthday cake. Hand-baked from scratch by Mykala (blueberry dye to get the frosting Essie’s favorite color: purple).
Mykala threw Christmas in June at the precise halfway point between Christmases for her family at our house. Lights, decorations, Christmas movies, egg bake, French toast bake, and of course, sugar cookies! This is Ess helping to cut them out the night before the festivities.
Mykala and I teamed up and made these the Sunday before my big malocclusion presentation at school. They are cake + frosting + stick, dipped in Guittard semi-sweet chocolate, sprinkled, wrapped, and individually tied. They’re delicious.
