I’d like to do a catch-up dinner with you all. I’m thinking the weekend of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. So, something like the 16th of January, we could all go out to dinner somewhere… hence the McRupekoeclapespe moniker for this post. Naturally, all others who I wasn’t able to wedge into the catchy name are absolutely invited. RSVP* here with regrets, suggestions, and acceptances. It will be awesome.
* I just learned this is an abbrevation of the French phrase répondez s’il vous plaît. Interesting.

C. We got a puppy! Her name is Lucy. Sadly, we are bad parents and failed to recognize that our building is not only smoke-free but also pet-free.. :( A sad, sad day in Rupertville. So, for now she is staying at my parents’ out in the country in WI and having the greatest time being spoiled!

Works for us.. we’re old boring married people. You could put almost any weekend up there and our ridiculously blank social calendar would have no problem with it. Hopefully it works for the not boring people!! :)

Hey TumbleDryers, It’s sad and a little shocking, but I can’t remember exactly the last time I got to hang out with Alex. Was it Thanksgiving 2006? Was it Winter Break 2007? Some other occasion that has inexplicably escaped me? Hmm, I just can’t remember. And that’s sad. After catching up on the greater details of Alex’s life through his TD posts, it’s pretty clear that he’s had good reason for being so elusive these past several months. Anyways, I may be out of town in Madison over the 16th and 17th in which case the overdrawn period of time between meeting up will be extended. We’ll see what happens though. If Madison plans fall through, I will definitely join in on the dinner but my availability remains to be seen.
PS That’s so like Steve not to respond in a timely fashion. He’s always gotta do things HIS way. So ungrateful, so selfish, so “busy” all the time. I hope Steve reads this and cries.

Mykala! Your birthday, tomorrow, any exciting or extravagant plans?

Hmmm… I will be attending class at Saint Mary’s University from 9:00am -12:45pm, then I will be teaching at Dance Tech Studios from 2:15-10:15pm. An almost 12 hour day not including commute time! HOORAY!
Is that exciting or extravagant? I don’t think so. Birthdays are kind of LAME when you’re a grown-up… I’m glad we got to go out last weekend! At least I got cake! :)
