For close to a month Honey Bunches of Oats was handing out samples on Nicollet in downtown Minneapolis. This was one of the greatest months of my life. I only have two of the tiny boxes remaining but each one came with a $1.25 off coupon on the back. As I already love HBoO and would have been buying it anyhow, having 18 coupons is perfect.

They used to hand out the samples dressed in overalls and Honey Bunches of Oats hard hats pushing around comically large shopping carts full of the stuff. Now that I know they have a truck and trailer full as well…it gives me hope they will return with their free samples.

I haven’t seen this truck around at all — I wonder if it’s a nomadic promotional vehicle, setting up around the country and leaving different cities just as quickly as it arrives.

Like a drifter, it’s never in one place for long. I miss the Honey Bunches truck.

You call it HBoO, too‽
