Children at Work

A question for today: if your wife is pregnant with your first child and it is “take your child to work day,” then does your wife come to your place of work?

I think people might get the wrong idea.

I also think people might get the wrong idea. But perhaps if her belly was highlighted in some way, people would catch on? Neon sign? Cheesy t-shirt? The possibilities are endless.

I do want to know, however, what woman would want to participate in this charade. She’s a good sport, whoever she is.

Is Mykala pregnant?

Amber

I think that was a very random question. If there was such a thing as a stupid question, this one might fall in that category, no offense.

Mykala

Hahaha. No, Nils. Not even close.

Also, would you be asking for trouble by implying that your wife’s unborn baby is already your child? All of those crazy pro-choicers out there… you just never know.

And, let the games begin…

Nils, that was very funny. I was going to ask the same thing but held off because I am not as bold as you.

Thanks for the support, Dan. At least the subtleties of sarcasm aren’t lost on everyone.

But to actually respond to Alex’s question, I think it would be awesome if some guy’s pregnant wife came to his work for “take your child to work day.” That kind of playfulness is kind of rare today, I think. Have you actually seen this at work, Alex?

Guys that work bring their child to work every day… As do pregnant mothers who work… So why do we need a special day for either… Either that or we need to PC the holiday:

“Take your english speaking 1st thru 6th grader out of school and don’t get any work done because of it day.”
