Surreal

As I write this, the kid who lives next to me is singing along to a polka. It’s a long but very uptempo tune. He’s really getting into it; I can hear him through the wall quite well. He also laughs quite a bit when there is no one else in his room. At least he is happy.

Dorm life can be very surreal.

lol…. lol.

I can relate, Alex. In my room, I am often serenaded by the sound highly distorted rap music from next door.

Markoe

You should counter his polka with your techno. Then he'll be all like you got your techno in my polka and you'll be all like you got your polka in my techno. This melding of genres will bring about the end of war and hunger…

…but it'll sound like shit.

Guys, I've got to admit that comment quality is actually increasing - a feat I had not thought possible given the spectacular fare as of late. That said, I really have to sincerely thank you all for participating; you friends are the reason I've worked so hard on the site, and it all pays off when I get a good laugh from all this.

Oh and also: Markoe's idea is pure genius. If I try it, I will post results.

Nils

Will Markoe's idea also cure cancer? It's time we have a cure. We have the technology.

Also, are the words "tumbledryer" or "tumbledrier" actually real words? If they're not, we can make them real. We have the technology.

Dan McKeown

Man we have a lot of technology, what else can we do with that?

John T F Larson

I just checked, and <tumbledryer.com> is already a website. That just means that the technology is already being implimented. Now its about time to move on to curing that "cancer" I keep hearing about.

Alexander Micek

I looked it up. Dryer is a variant of drier. "Tumble dryer" is a word/phrase/noun but it is not a word when the two parts are smashed together. So, we are in new-word territory here.

And there's a lot of technology. I think I'll go to the moon with it.

Nils, did you ever finish that paper that you were talking about in your Iron and Wine comment?

Nils

Yeah, the paper is complete and it was a bitch. I am now basking in the glory of having absolutely nothing to do. You see, it's Easter Break until next Wednesday, and just about all my classmates went back to their homelands for the break, but not I. So I am sitting in a small town, in Norway, doing mostly nothing on a day to day basis. I love it. I just wish it was sunny and/or warmer here. I here it's been in the 70's in MN. You guys better be grateful….

Alexander Micek

Stil, you are in Norway (a foreign country) and we are still here in Minnesota, even if the high is 76 degrees (24.4 Celsius for your Norwegians). We'll enjoy the weather for you and you enjoy the foreign land for us.

Thank god I live where I live on the floor.
