This is a Scythe SCNJ-1000 Ninja passive heatsink for socket 478 processors. It is huge (about 15 cm tall) but will keep the computer very quiet (and cool, too). Will be running on a 2.8 GHz Pentium 4, Northwood edition.

My god!!! . .thats a heat sink!

Thats crazy, , might as well just do a liquid cooled system.. would save you space inside the case.

Dan McKeown

yeah…i totally agree! wait i have no idea what we are talking about

Markoe

It means that he should just throw his computer in a lake.

Alexander Micek

lol! I love your explanation, Markoe.

Anyhow, I went with this because it provides the cooling the processor needs while providing the silence I crave, and avoids the complex installation of a liquid cooled system.

You guys will see all this inside the computer at some point.

Dan McKeown

wow, but seriously, can we throw your computer in a lake? or someones? cause that would be fun

Alexander Micek

Only if it's plugged in … and not mine.

Alexander Micek

Ok, never mind. I thought about it - we can throw my computer in a lake.

Dan McKeown

really? sweet! i get dibs on the first toss

Markoe
