Interesting Points
Ok, first there was a 52 out of 58 on the test. Ridiculous. Anyways, got another point back for an essay detail, and another point of extra credit. This makes 54 out of 58 on the test. Acceptable, but still 4 points missing in the class. For an A+ one needs a 99%; more specifically a 98.5% rounds up. Taking the next test to be around 50 points and the next portfolio check to be 20 points … and taking the current points possible to be 78, let’s see … that’s a 94.87% right now. That’s not good enough. Now is not the time to elaborate why. However, at least two more tests means 100 more points (assuming perfects on both tests: a dangerous assumption) and two more portfolio checks for 40 points. Theoretically making 218 points possible - but wait there’s more! A debate is in there as well making 268 points possible. No points missed and there is 214 outta 218 or 98.17%. Sh*t! Hmm, let’s take one point of extra credit per week remaining in this term - that’s five points. That would be 219 out of 218 for the term; a solid 100.46% for the term. That’s more like it. Why is it that there is no room for error? Well here’s what we can hope for; a perfect debate and another 4 points total missed on the remaining tests; I believe that is resonable. Therefore, 210 out of 218 plus 5 points extra credit = 215 outta 218 or 98.62% - that’s not bad! Here’s hoping for a ten point random extra credit assignment because I will jump through some major hoops for this grade. Don’t ask why. :)
Glad we got that cleared up; playing around with the points is almost the only thing that makes me feel better. Anyways, on a lighter note I saw Harry Potter and Die Another Day this past Thanksgiving weekend. We should have had one week off. Oh well. Stupid ISD 833.
Sometimes all a person needs is for someone to be there. There is nothing better than doing one’s homework and looking over and seeing someone you really care about lying there asleep, waiting for you to finish. Of course, she didn’t know that while she was sleeping I was staring at her with a little smile on my face; I think I’ll keep that a secret. If you see her, don’t tell her, OK? Suffice to say, she is quite an amazing friend. I am Thankful for her.
