The 2009 Volkswagen Passat CC looks like the love child of an ‘07 Saab 9-3 and an ‘08 BMW 3-Series. (That’s a good thing.)
Here I am cleaning out my email inbox (responses from two different job applications today!), and I ran across an email I left in my inbox since February, from Nils. It depicts this fantastic circular parking garage, with an open air car elevator at the center, used to hoist cars up to little carports. It is 20 stories high.

“The fastest and most expensive production car ever”: the Bugatti Veyron - What amazes me is how cool looking this vehicle is. It looks like it took the styling of the Audi/Volkswagen cars (especially in the headlights and dorsal bumps) and injected some serious steroids. I guess this would make sense, since Bugatti is in the Volkswagen group.
Unbelievable VW Car Factory - The VW Phaeton assembly plant in Dresden Germany is see-through, featuring wood floors, simply jaw-dropping cleanliness, and a glass parking garage for the finished cars. Simply unreal.
The forum notes: “At some stages of the build process, it is easier to do the work if the car can be lifted up and moved around as needed. The overhead cranes lift the car up, using the same 4 points that the car normally rests on, and the employee can then move the vehicle around as he or she wants. The working environment in this assembly plant has been very carefully thought out - there is no comparison with other car manufacturing facilities.”
